At Copy Caps® , we can embroider your own artwork, from doodle to corporate logo, on caps. Unlike when you use one of our Stock Graphics, if you choose to use your own artwork it must be digitized into an embroidery machine readable format. The files that an automated embroidery machine reads actually instruct the machine how to sew the pattern. The process is very different than printing in ink compared to the common graphic files that we are all familiar with. The following is an explanation of what type of artwork can be used and the set-up charges for converting your artwork into a machine readable format.
In order to have your simple line art embroidered on a cap, we'll need the following from you:
Just about any type of artwork or logo can be embroidered onto caps. Anything more complex than simple line art, must be manually digitized into an embroidery machine readable format. This involves a person known as a "digitizer" actually plotting the stitches for the design. The cost of having a logo digitized is based on the number of actual stitches that must be plotted. Generally, the one-time set-up charge to have a multi-colored logo digitized for baseball caps is $65. In some cases, the price may be higher if the logo is especially large or complex.
For a price quote on having your logo digitized and embroidered onto caps, Click Here to fill out the inquiry form, and send us a copy of your logo in either GIF or JPEG format. If you've had your logo embroidered by someone else and have a copy of the embroidery file, we may be able to work from that file. You can also e-mail that file to us and we can let you know if it works on our equipment.
The picture below is an example of the more complex type file that must be manually digitized. This design is more complex than the "Evoli" line art because it is multi-colored, has filled areas, special textures for the tires and outlines.
